Hire Terms

Draft summary for legal review before launch. The hire agreement you sign before collection is the contract.

Who can hire

Aged 25 to 75.
A full UK licence held for at least 2 years, with no more than 6 points.
Motor insurance on the towing car that covers towing.
Payment by card in the hirer's name.

Payment and deposit

The hire is paid in full before collection.
A deposit is held on your card, not charged: £110 cage trailer, £160 box trailer. It's released when the trailer is returned on time, clean and undamaged.

Damage cover

Damage cover is included with a £250 excess. You're responsible for loss or damage from overloading, misuse or towing beyond your car's limits.

Other charges

Late return without notice: one extra day's hire.
Returned dirty or not empty: £25 cleaning fee.
Lost or damaged extras, including the load cover: replacement cost.

Cancellations

7 or more days before collection: full refund.
3 to 6 days before: 50% refund.
Within 72 hours: no refund.
Or take a full credit to use within 6 months.

Loading and towing

Don't exceed the trailer's gross weight or your car's towing limit.
Secure or cover loose loads.
Check council recycling centre rules before a tip run. The box trailer is too big for council tips.
Display a number plate showing your car's registration.
