Every price includes damage cover (£250 excess), subject to our hire terms. The cage trailer comes with a load cover. A deposit is held on your card, not charged (£110 cage, £160 box), and released when the trailer comes back clean and undamaged.

Towing it
You need a full UK car licence held for 2+ years, a tow bar with a 7 or 13-pin socket, and motor insurance that covers towing. Check your car's towing limit in its handbook covers the trailer plus your load.

What do I need to tow a trailer?
A full UK car licence (category B) held for at least 2 years, a car with a tow bar and a 7-pin or 13-pin socket, and motor insurance that covers towing. Since December 2021, anyone with a full car licence can tow a trailer up to 3,500kg. Your car's own towing limit, in its handbook, still applies.
Who can hire?
Hirers must be aged 25 to 75, with a full UK licence held for 2+ years and no more than 6 points.
Where do I collect the trailer?
Our yard in Beverley. We send the exact location with your booking confirmation. Collection hours: Collection hours to be confirmed.
Is damage cover included?
Yes. Damage cover is included in every hire, with a £250 excess, subject to our hire terms. Your own motor insurance covers third-party liability while towing, so check your policy covers it.
Can I book online?
Yes. Choose your trailer and dates, add any extras, and send your booking. We confirm availability by text and send a secure card payment link.
How long can I hire a trailer?
From a single day up to a month or more. The longer you hire, the less you pay per day. See the price table above.
Can I take the cage trailer to the tip?
It's a 6ft × 4ft trailer, a size most local recycling centres accept, but rules vary between councils and some need a permit. Check your council's recycling centre rules before you go. The box trailer is too big for council tips.
What happens if I return it late?
Message us before your return time and we'll extend if the trailer's free. Late returns without notice are charged an extra day. If it comes back dirty, there's a £25 cleaning fee.
Can I cancel a booking?
Cancel 7 or more days before collection for a full refund. Between 3 and 6 days, you get 50% back. Within 72 hours, there's no refund. Instead of a refund, you can take a full credit to use within 6 months.
What identification do I need?
Your driving licence and a DVLA check code, plus proof of address. Your trailer number plate must show your car's registration. Halfords and most plate makers do them while you wait.
Can you deliver the trailer?
Yes. We can drop it at your address and collect it again for £20 each way within 10 miles of Beverley. Handy if your car hasn't got a tow bar.
